Tiger Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren is skiing in Europe this weekend, with Tiger Woods nowhere in sight. According to reports, Tiger Woods continues to see his mistress Rachel Uchitel setting aside all all the hoopla that he is remorseful about having more than a dozen mistresses.

Elin Woods celebrated New Year’s without Tiger Woods at a chalet in France near the swank Chamonix resort. She spent the holidays with her nearest and dearest, the media reported.

Nordegren, 29, is said to have arrived in France a couple of days after Christmas with her twin sister Josefin and five close pals, London’s Sun magazine first reported.

They stayed in a posh seven-bedroom chalet away from the main resort, and the mother-of-two spent most of her time inside.

Elin Woods did venture out once to hit the slopes but turned back because of rain, and she had an expensive dinner with friends on New Year’s Eve, the magazine said.

Reports also say that despite Tiger Woods cheating with more than a dozen mistresses, Elin Woods is considering reconciliation with Tiger Woods.

“She has been absolutely torn to pieces by what he has done to her. But she still sees a future with Tiger because of the beautiful children they have,” an insider told the Sun magazine.

“She told him she needed a lengthy time apart to reflect on how they might possibly salvage the marriage.”

Meanwhile reports have merged that Florida State police officers had examined the upper body of Tiger Woods for injuries during a meeting with them last month. Private TV station WESH in Florida made the disclosure.

Tiger Woods reportedly lifted up his shirt, said the station, during the December 1 meeting so that the troopers could discern if he had any additional injuries after his SUV crash.

The meeting took place four days after the post-Thanksgiving car crash that blew the lid off Tiger Woods’ infidelities, one of the biggest sex scandals in sports history.

Despite rumors that she roughed him up, Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, was not charged with domestic abuse, as police determined Tiger Woods suffered “only a fat lip”.

This report casts further doubt on the rumors going around that a scorned Elin messed up Tiger so bad with a 9-iron that he needed plastic surgery on his face.

It is widely believed that an enraged Elin Woods chased Tiger Woods out of his house with a golf club and smashed the windows of his car in the minutes before he crashed.

She was never charged in the incident, however. Tiger was issued a traffic ticket and that was that. He has not been seen by anyone since Dec. 1.

Tiger Woods is proceeding to the Bahamas in his yacht for the holidays while his wife Elin Nordegren is said to be off back to Sweden for Christmas with her family.

Tiger Woods launched his yacht from Palm Beach in Florida for the Bahamas at the weekend, with People magazine quoting an unidentified friend as saying that the golf star faced a deeply unhappy time ahead.

Woods turns 34 next week and remains unusually silent, off the media radar. Monday evening Larry King Live replayed his June 10 1998 interview, when he was only 22.

‘Woods devastated’

“He’s devastated at everything he has lost,” the magazine quoted the source as saying. “He will go through some dark times. It’s going to be a lonely Christmas for him.”

Woods has admitted cheating on wife Elin and at least 14 women, one for every major golf crown he has won, have claimed to have had affairs with the world’s first billionaire sportsman.

Sponsors have backed away from Woods, who has put his golf career on hold indefinitely to work on his personal woes.

People also reported that Elin Woods, a Swedish model whom Woods married in 2004, will take the couple’s two children with her to Sweden.

People also reported a source saying that Tiger’s Thai-born mother, Kultida Woods “wants to know how he could do this to his family.”

Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Courtney Hazlett said sources close to Woods indicated he may appear on the January 9 edition of Saturday Night Live, to be hosted by his friend, retired basketball star Charles Barkley.”

New York: Tiger Woods’ wife ‘shopping for divorce attorney’: Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods” wife, is planning to leave him and is shopping for divorce attorneys, it has emerged.

Sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Nordegren would seek a divorce, reports The New York Post.

“She plans to leave Tiger,” a source said.

Another source said, “She’’s made up her mind. There’’s nothing to think about: he’’s never going to change.”

As far as shopping for divorce attorneys is concerned, one possibility for the Swedish model is Sorrell Trope, who represented Nicole Kidman, Nicolas Cage and Britney Spears. She may be seeing him as soon as next week reported Huffington Post.

Mirror tabloid reported Wednesday that Elin is believed to be planning to file for divorce in California — where the couple have a home — and not Florida, where they live. Filing for divorce in California would increase the chances that the couple’s property would be split evenly between the two.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods cell phone is off and he’s not even in touch with his close friends, reports say.

“I”ve been trying to get to him and can”t. It’’s very frustrating,” his basketball star pal Charles Barkley said.

In the mean time, it’s being said that Tiger Woods’ close friend fear the golfer can’t cope in the wake of his sex scandal, and is close to “cracking up.”

The Sun has reported that Woods has been spending days alone watching cartoons and eating cereal.

Another popular magazine Us Weekly has reported that Woods has remained in contact with the first woman named as a mistress, New York party planner Rachel Uchitel.

“They are not over,” a Uchitel source told Us.

Tiger Woods and Wife Elin Nordegren Heading to Sweden?: There have been unconfirmed reports that Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren may be headed to Sweden to escape the worst of the media frenzy.

Nordegren’s father, radio talk show host Thomas Nordegren, told AP Saturday he doesn’t know if that’s true.

"I have no comment to this. I don’t know anything, either," he said.

Nordegren bought a six-bedroom house on a small island near Stockholm that is reachable only by boat. The house deal was signed on Dec 1 for $2.2 million and Nordegren is the owner.

"Elin Nordegren has bought it, but I don’t know how much Tiger has signed on to those papers," said Stenake Johansson, chairman of the Residential Association on Faglaro island, adding that his organization is still awaiting all the paperwork.

Johansson said negotiations most likely started shortly after the house was put on the market in August – well before Woods’ car crash last month at his Florida home touched off the scandal. Nordegren’s property is among the biggest on the island.

Elin and Tiger Woods have been married for five years and have a 2-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old son.

Tiger Woods announced Friday he is taking an indefinite break from golf in an attempt to save his marriage following two weeks of allegations of infidelities and transgressions.

Faglaro is one of the thousands of islands that make up the Stockholm archipelago. The quickest route there is a 45-minute ferry from Vaxholm – considered the main municipality of the archipelago – where Nordegren grew up.
